Ningxia Red: Antioxidant Blend

Did You Know that you can join
Young Living by purchasing this great DrinkNo automatic alt text available.

It is a nutrient rich drink infused with antioxidant-providing super fruits AND essential oils, and is also one of Young Living’s most popular wellness supplements! This is an absolute MUST in every home, and a DAILY supplement we all should be using.
• Ningxia Red has an incredible antioxidant blend: Blueberry, Aronia, Cherry, Pomegranate, Plum, Grape, and Ninxgia Wolfberry. So what are Antioxidants and why are they important? We can't talk about antioxidants without mentioning free radicals. Every day our bodies go through a process called oxidation where, unfortunately, free radicals can be produced. (Have you ever seen a diced apple turn brown? This is a great example of the oxidation process.) Free Radicals have been linked to things like aging and illness. They cause damage that can be accelerated by pollution, stress, toxins, smoking, and alcohol. That’s why our bodies NEED antioxidants, because they help fight the damaging effects of free radicals!
• We need a balancing effort of MANY different antioxidants for them to really be beneficial to our health. Ningxia Red offers a wide variety of antioxidants and phytonutrients, which is what makes it different than many other antioxidant drinks on the market (it also contains essential oil which is another added difference).
• Ningxia Red contains the puree from the Ningxia wolfberry, a berry harvested in Northern China high in fiber and protein (it’s protein content is approximately 13%). The Wolfberry also contains all the essential amino acids, is high in antioxidants, and is the HIGHEST whole food source of potassium. Young Living is also unique in that we use the ENTIRE berry—the seeds, juice, peel, and fruit—to ensure that we offer a product that contains an optimal blend of ALL of it’s amazing nutrients.
• Ningxia Red contains essential oils! Orange, Yuzu, Lemon and Tangerine.
• Serving size is 2oz per day.
• Opened, Refrigerated Ningxia Red is good for 30 days. Unopened, Ningxia red should remain safe and effective for 24 months!
Ningxia Red should be a staple in your home. I LOVE this stuff! There are a lot of fun recipes and creative ways to incorporate Ningxia into you and your family’s daily life.

Maintain lifelong relationships

Okinawa, Japan

Relationships are such an important part of health and happiness in Okinawa, Japan, that the culture institutes social support groups called moai. The tradition began with farmers who would work together to help and support each other even if their crops failed. Now, a moaican offer social, emotional, and even financial support, so everyone has someone in their corner when they need it.

The D. Gary Young Young Living Foundation Malaria Center in UgandaReported to be one of the world’s happiest countries, Denmark has a culture rooted in choices that bring true joy. Instead of things that can be bought, the people of Denmark focus on creating strong social ties—which are especially important in times of trouble—and on participating in charitable efforts.

13 Creative Ways You Can Use Essential Oils

13 creative ways (you didn’t know) you can use essential oils

The power of scent is strong; it can draw us back to our favorite memories. 4. Invigorate your home cleaning.

Add a few drops of Lemon essential oil to your naturally derived floor, window, and surface cleaning solution for a fresh, clean aroma. Do not use Lemon oil on granite or stone, as it may etch the surface.

Rose Essential Oil5. Skin for the win!

Incorporate a drop of Rose essential oil to your evening moisturizer to support healthy-looking skin. Try using other essential oils, but avoid applying citrus ones like Tangerine essential oil before spending time in the sun due to photosensitivity.

Einkorn: What it is and how to cook with it

Einkorn: What it is and how to cook with it

You have heard of almond and rye flour, but did you know that the oldest form of wheat is called Einkorn and you can easily cook with it? Einkorn is a healthier, more natural choice that hasn’t been processed or modified. There is a lot of versatility when it comes to Einkorn Flour (the likes of which we will demonstrate below), and it has fewer quirks than other wheat options.
Einkorn’s natural genetic code and low gluten levels make it compatible for more sensitive stomachs compared to current versions of hybridized wheat. Because it is easier to digest, your body can absorb the nutrients in einkorn at higher levels.
Here are some ways to use einkorn and the products that will make the transition as easy as pie—with an einkorn crust, of course.

Cookies, Crepes, and More

Popular diets would have you believe that any food item containing flour is an absolute no, all the time, unless it’s treat-yourself-Tuesday. At Young Living, however, we are all about living a balanced life with the best ingredients possible.
Gary’s True Grit™ Einkorn Flour can be substituted easily for all-purpose or whole-wheat flours at a 1:1 ratio. Below are some delicious
Einkorn Flour
treats that work wonderfully with Einkorn Flour:

Granola Bars, Smoothies, and More

Sometimes you just need something that is a little more on the go. Too often, though, food that is easy to take with you is filled with refined sugar and high-fructose corn syrup disguised as high-energy snacks.
To avoid all that sugar, try Gary’s True Grit Einkorn Granola. With only 6 grams of sugar, this delicious alternative is filled with wolfberries, cranberries, and cacao nibs to ramp up the flavor. Here are some easy ways to incorporate Einkorn Granola into your daily diet:
  • Add it to your morning yogurt.
  • Make granola bars by melting Blue Agave natural sweetener and natural peanut butter and combining it with Gary’s True Grit Einkorn Granola. Mix until the granola and liquids stick together, transfer the mixture to an 8×8-inch pan, and freeze for 15 minutes. Cut into bars or squares and enjoy!
  • Roll bananas in granola and freeze them for a late-night treat.
  • Use granola to top smoothie bowls.
  • Crumple it on top of divided muffin batter before baking.
  • Eat it on the go right from the resealable bag.

Rotini, Spaghetti, and More

Einkorn Pasta
New cooking blogs are raving about substituting spiralized vegetables for spaghetti noodles, but nothing beats Mom’s homemade pasta dishes. However, even simple spaghetti can be full of modified wheat and simple carbs.
With just two healthful ingredients—Einkorn Flour and water—Einkorn Rotini Pasta and Gary’s True Grit Einkorn Spaghetti can be used to experiment with new sauces in the kitchen while blasting Pavarotti in the background.
YL Tip: Add Basil Vitality™, Oregano Vitality™, or Lemon Vitality™ to really punch up your sauce flavors.

Tips for a Natural and Healthy Kitchen

Trying new products and food items in the kitchen can be tricky, especially if you aren’t familiar with Einkorn Flour. We want to make the process as easy as possible, so you can enjoy—not stress over—mealtime with your family.
The From Our Fields to Your Table Cookbook is the ultimate guide for cooking with Young Living products, with recipes ranging from desserts to beverages and main dishes to gluten-free options. These recipes use Einkorn Flour, essential oils, and many other natural ingredients. We also included member-created recipes that are an appetizing addition.
For recipes to try today, take a look at the winners of the YL Einkorn Cook-Off and the amazing creations they made. The Einkorn Breakfast Cookies by Kimberly Swedberg are particularly delightful.
